Why I’m Running

I’m running for the North Carolina House of Representatives because our communities deserve a voice that actually listens — and leads with fairness, compassion, and common sense. Too many decisions in Raleigh are made for political gain, not for the good of the people who live here. I’m running to change that.

I regularly talk to families, small business owners, teachers, and seniors who feel left behind. They see housing costs skyrocketing while corporate landlords buy up homes. They see schools struggling to keep good teachers because pay hasn’t kept up with the cost of living. They see healthcare and childcare out of reach for too many working families. And they see a legislature that seems more focused on gerrymandering maps than solving real problems.

I believe we can do better — because I’ve seen what happens when neighbors come together to get things done. Whether it’s building stronger local businesses, supporting our schools, or creating affordable housing solutions, progress happens when we put people before politics.

This campaign isn’t about partisanship. It’s about priorities — housing people can afford, jobs that pay a fair wage, and schools that prepare every child for the future. It’s about respecting every voice in our community and ensuring that government works for the many, not the few.

I’m running to bring integrity, transparency, and balance back to our state government. I’m running because the next generation deserves a North Carolina where opportunity is not determined by your zip code, your income, or your political affiliation — but by your determination, your hard work, and your dreams.

This is our home. Let’s make it a place where everyone has a fair shot.
